Bikesy's Verdict

If you want one comfortable assisted bike for commuting, errands and longer tours, the 2026 Kathmandu Hybrid Comfort Pro is an easy bike to want. Bosch Performance Line CX assistance, rated up to 90Nm, and the 800Wh PowerTube support those rides, and the Enviolo hub with a Gates belt gives you stepless gears without a chain to oil. Lights, mudguards and a carrier are already fitted. Classic and Trapeze are the 28.6kg frames; Easy Entry is the low-step option at 30.5kg. Classic and Easy Entry have an official UK RRP of £3,499, though the price you pay can differ. The weight, the 110kg rider limit and the 140kg system maximum are what would change that recommendation if you lift the bike often or travel heavily loaded.

Pros

  • Bosch CX assistance rated up to 90Nm, with an 800Wh battery for assisted commutes and longer rides
  • Stepless Enviolo gears and a Gates belt, with no chain to oil
  • Powered lights, mudguards, carrier, kickstand and bell fitted from the start
  • Classic, Trapeze and Easy Entry share that assistance and transmission, so you can match the frame to how you get on

Cons

  • Published weight is 28.6kg, or 30.5kg on Easy Entry, so lifting it or storing it off the ground takes real effort
  • Rider limit is 110kg including clothing, and rider, bike and luggage must also stay within the 140kg system maximum

If the week is commuting and errands, with a longer tour when you get the chance, the Kathmandu Hybrid Comfort Pro is made for that mix. The appeal of this 2026 Comfort Pro 800 is a comfort tourer with Bosch assistance, stepless hub gears and a belt, and the wet-weather kit already on the bike. All three frames share that setup. Your choice is which shape gets you on most easily, and which published size actually fits.

Commuting, errands and a comfortable tour

Classic, Trapeze and Easy Entry are the three 2026 800Wh builds, and each is set up for the ride to work, the shops and a more relaxed tour. They share a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, rated up to 90Nm, for hill assistance when a bag is on board or you are glad of the help at the end of a long day. They also share a Bosch PowerTube 800Wh battery. That 800Wh is capacity. How far you ride on a charge still depends on the assist you use, the terrain, the load and how much you pedal.

The battery is integrated in the frame. Cube says you can charge it on the bike or take it off, and a Bosch 2A charger is part of the specification. Taking the battery indoors is the useful bit when there is no socket where you keep the bike. On the bar, the Purion 200 integrated-display remote combines the display and the controls in one unit.

Stepless gears and a clean belt

This comfort-oriented tourer is distinguished by stepless hub gearing and a belt, in place of a conventional derailleur-and-chain setup. Each build uses an Enviolo Trekking stepless rear hub with a 380% ratio range, MC-TWIST control and a Gates CDX belt. You can set the ratio anywhere in that spread, which suits a steady cadence on the flat and an easier one when the road rises. The belt does away with chain oiling, so the drivetrain stays cleaner through a wet week and asks less of you between rides.

Comfort, and ready for a normal week

The frames are aluminium, using Cube's Efficient Comfort Geometry, with the battery integrated. For a long commute or a day on mixed roads there is 100mm of travel from an SR Suntour NX1-32 LO Air fork and an SR Suntour NVX suspension seatpost, plus an adjustable CUBE Comfort Stem Pro so the bar position can suit you. Hydraulic discs are fitted for the stopping. The tyres specified for the everyday miles are Schwalbe Marathon Efficiency 55-622, on 28in wheels.

The everyday fittings are already there: an ACID Integrated Carrier 3.0, front and rear powered lights, mudguards, a kickstand and a bell. You can ride to work in the wet with the lights and mudguards already fitted. A bag or basket is a separate upgrade, for luggage that suits a CUBE adaptor. RiLink readiness means the carrier can accept a compatible adaptor. The adaptor is not supplied, so match the mounting interface before you order anything to hang on the back.

Two published limits sit alongside that carrier. Cube's indexed 2026 table gives this model a 25kg carrier entry and a 140kg maximum system weight, and rider, bike and luggage all have to stay within the combined system limit. Those figures are given for the model across the access frames. The maximum rider weight is 110kg, including clothing and equipment worn on the body. Anything you put on the carrier sits outside that rider figure, and it still counts towards the 140kg system maximum.

Classic, Trapeze or Easy Entry

Pick the frame for the way you get on, then stay inside its published sizes. Classic is the diamond frame, in 50, 54, 58 and 62cm, with a published weight of 28.6kg. Trapeze is in 46, 50, 54 and 58cm, also 28.6kg. Easy Entry is the low-step frame, in 46, 50, 54, 58 and 62cm, published at 30.5kg. If you want 46cm, Trapeze and Easy Entry are the frames that offer it. If you want 62cm, look at Classic or Easy Entry. Easy Entry is the size range that covers both ends, and it is the heavier published bike.

A shared centimetre size still has its own fit. At 54cm, Classic is 410mm reach and 654mm stack, Trapeze is 410mm reach and 668mm stack, and Easy Entry is 390mm reach and 685mm stack. Compare the frame you intend to ride. Crank length follows the frame too: 170mm on Easy Entry, and 175mm on Classic and Trapeze.

The weights are worth taking seriously if you have to lift the bike onto a rack, over a step, or up to a flat. At 28.6kg, Classic and Trapeze are already a handful, and Easy Entry's 30.5kg adds more. That mass is the suspension, the 800Wh battery and the fitted kit. Leave the bike on the ground between rides and it is a fair exchange for the equipment. Carry it upstairs every day and the weight can change whether this is the right bike.

Names, the list price and a 2025 bike

The official public name for this latest version is Kathmandu Hybrid Comfort Pro 800. Match an offer to Comfort Pro 800 and to the Classic, Trapeze or Easy Entry frame. Kathmandu Hybrid Pro, Comfort SLX and Deluxe Pro are different builds, and their equipment is separate from this one. Classic and Easy Entry have an official UK RRP of £3,499. That is the list price for those two frames, and the price you pay can differ from it. Cube does not currently list this latest official version in its UK catalogue.

The Comfort Pro 800 name was also used in 2025. Keep the equipment and geometry here with a 2026 bike. If an offer is the 2025 Comfort Pro 800, there is a specific pre-ride check. Cube lists that exact 2025 model in a crank-bolt safety notice, so have the required dealer inspection completed before you ride an affected bike.

With the year and the frame settled, this is a bike you can keep ready for a dark ride home or a steady day with a bag on the carrier. Trim the ratio as the road changes, and the motor is there for the climbs, with the lights and mudguards already in place when you wheel it out.

Key Features & Benefits

  • 380% Enviolo ratio range: Fine-tune your cadence across a wide spread as the road changes
  • Adjustable CUBE Comfort Stem Pro: Set the bar position for a more relaxed ride without buying another stem
