Bikesy's Verdict

The current carbon-and-white AT 600X suits an experienced rider whose days are technical descents linked by climbs. It brings a carbon frame, 170 mm of Fox Factory suspension, XTR Di2 and XTR brakes, and a Bosch CX-R at a maximum 120 Nm with a 600 Wh battery. The official UK RRP is £7,499. You will get on with it if you want that build and sit within the 110 kg limit, clothing and worn kit included. The fixed battery is the ownership compromise that can change the decision: you charge it in the frame, and no model-specific distance figure is published. Category 4 fits demanding trail and enduro use, with limits on downhill and jump riding. The recommendation changes over 110 kg including worn kit, or if unclipping the battery matters more than this specification.

Pros

  • 170 mm Fox Factory fork and shock for technical descents
  • Maximum 120 Nm CX-R motor with a 600 Wh battery for repeat climbs
  • XTR Di2 shifting and XTR brakes on the current 600X build
  • Two published head angles, 63.6° and 64.2°, from the fitted headset inserts
  • Mixed 29 / 27.5 wheels on a carbon frame built for technical trails

Cons

  • Fixed 600 Wh battery, charged in the frame with the 4A charger
  • 110 kg rider limit, including clothing and equipment worn on the body
  • No model-specific distance figure for planning assisted rides

Technical descents, with assisted climbs between them, are what this AT is for. The Cube AMS Hybrid ONE77 C:62 AT is the performance build in Cube's AMS Hybrid 177 full-suspension range: a carbon e-MTB for demanding, technical mountain trails, and the current UK model is the carbon-and-white 600X. It suits you if that is already how you like to ride, and you want the motor to make another lap a realistic plan.

What the current AT is built to ride

Cube classifies this build as category 4. That's its bracket for technical all-mountain and enduro riding, and the same guidance sets limits on downhill and jump use. The frame is a C:62 carbon FSP 4-Link with 170 mm of rear travel, the fork matches that travel, and the wheels are mixed: 29-inch at the front, 27.5-inch at the rear. It's a setup for steep, technical trails, with assistance for the climb that puts you back at the top.

In the current UK range the AT is its own build, distinct from the TM and Super TM. Those names are other bikes in the AMS Hybrid 177 family, and each one needs reading on its own specification.

Fox Factory travel, and the XTR build

Both ends run 170 mm of Fox Factory suspension. The fork is a 38 Float Factory with GRIPX2 damping, and the shock is a Float X2 Factory with high- and low-speed compression and rebound. A two-position lever gives you a second shock setting while you're out, once the adjusters are set for the trails you ride.

On this carbon-and-white 600X, shifting is Shimano XTR Di2, electronic and 12-speed, with XTR hydraulic brakes and 200 mm rotors at both ends. Those are the parts that mark the current performance specification.

An earlier AT can look similar in a listing. The 2026-labelled carbon-and-gold specification recorded XT Di2 shifting, XT brakes with 203 mm rotors, a 100 Nm motor figure and a published weight of 21.4 kg. Leave those numbers with that bike. This one publishes a weight of 21.9 kg, and its motor figure is a maximum 120 Nm.

The name settles quickly. Cube's official public name is AMS Hybrid 177 C:62 AT 600X, while some offers say ONE77. They're the same AT line, and 600X is the build in the current UK range. Shifting, brakes and the motor figure separate the current XTR bike from the earlier XT one. The official UK RRP is £7,499, the list figure, and an offer can sit at a different price.

Cube warns that supply-chain issues may mean a delivered bike has substituted parts. The components fitted to the bike are the specification you are comparing.

A maximum 120 Nm, and a battery that stays put

The motor is a Bosch Performance Line CX-R, specified at a maximum of 120 Nm. That figure is peak torque, a manufacturer maximum, separate from range and from continuous output. No model-specific distance claim is established for this build, so you plan from the 600 Wh battery and from how hard you work the assistance.

The battery is a Bosch PowerTube 600, 600 Wh, fixed and integrated in the frame. You charge it on the bike with the Bosch 4A charger. A removable pack would let you take the battery indoors or swap in a second one; here, charging belongs where the bike lives. The Kiox 400C display and Mini Remote put the controls on the bar.

Sizes, head angle and the rider limit

There are four sizes: S, M, L and XL. Each is published in slack and moderate headset positions, and the angle-adjustable inserts are already fitted. You move between 63.6° and 64.2° on the headset that's on the bike, and those angles are shared by every size.

Reach is the figure that changes. It runs from 427 / 425 mm on the S to 507 / 505 mm on the XL, slack number first, with M and L between them. Chainstay is 443 mm on all four, so the rear centre stays put while the front centre grows. S and M share a stack of 631 / 632 mm. If you're wavering between those two, reach is what separates them.

The dropper is a Fox Transfer Factory in 31.6 mm, and the stroke changes with the frame, from 150 mm on the S to 210 mm on the L and XL. More drop on the bigger sizes is part of the build, so it belongs in the same decision as reach.

The maximum rider weight is 110 kg, including clothing and equipment worn on the body. That's a rider limit, separate from any total system weight. If you and the kit you wear come in over 110 kg, this build is outside the limit Cube publishes.

Later suspension changes are constrained. A replacement shock has to keep the original eye-to-eye length, stroke and bushing dimensions, which here means staying with the 230 × 65 mm size. Cube says a longer-travel fork invalidates the warranty, so 170 mm is the fork travel this frame is approved with.

A luggage carrier sits outside the use Cube sets for this frame. Carbon full-suspension bikes are excluded from carrier use unless they have the specified integrated rack mounts, and this build lists none.

Choose the size from the published reach, and this is a bike for the rider who counts a good day by how many times they get down the same trail. The motor is what makes that second climb a reasonable ask.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Fox 38 Factory GRIPX2 and Float X2 Factory: High- and low-speed compression and rebound, plus a two-position lever, so the 170 mm can be set for the trail and given a second mode on the ride
  • Angle-adjustable headset inserts: Slack 63.6° or moderate 64.2° on every size, using the headset already fitted
