Bikesy's Verdict
If you already spend your rides on demanding technical trails and you want the climb handled, the ONE77 C:62 TM is an easy bike to want. You get a carbon frame, mixed wheels, 170 mm of travel and a Bosch CX motor with a 120 Nm maximum, and the 2027 TM 600X brings RockShox suspension and Maven Silver brakes with it. The fixed 600 Wh PowerTube is where the decision sits. You charge the bike where you keep it, which suits this handling-focused chassis, and it suits you less if you need a bigger pack or indoor charging. Category of use 4 keeps the riding on challenging trails, with stated limits on descent speed and jump height, so the travel is not a downhill free-for-all. For repeat laps inside that use, this is a bike worth having.
Pros
- Carbon mixed-wheel frame with 170 mm of travel for technical-trail descents
- Bosch CX motor with a 120 Nm maximum for the climbs back up
- Fixed 600 Wh battery integrated into the carbon 177 chassis
- 2027 RockShox suspension, with a two-position lever on the Vivid Select shock
- Maven Silver brakes with 200 mm rotors at both wheels
Cons
- Fixed 600 Wh battery is charged on the bike and may be short for the longest assisted days
- Category of use 4 carries stated limits on descent speed and jump height
- No accessible height or inseam bands for choosing among S, M, L and XL
The Cube AMS Hybrid ONE77 C:62 TM is for the rider who wants the climb dealt with so the next technical descent can happen. You get a C:62 carbon frame, mixed wheels and 170 mm of travel at both ends, with Bosch CX assistance and a fixed 600 Wh battery. The current UK model is the 2027 TM 600X, and it suits an experienced rider who wants that handling-focused setup for repeat laps on demanding trails.
Built for technical trails, with a category attached
Both ends have 170 mm of travel. The front wheel is 29-inch, the rear is 27.5-inch, and the rear travel runs through an FSP 4-link. That's the setup for repeated descents on demanding technical trails. Assistance comes from the Bosch Performance Line CX, the BDU38, with a maximum of 120 Nm. That's the stated peak, so the help varies with the mode and the climb, and it's what gets you back up between runs.
Cube classifies the 2027 TM as category of use 4: challenging technical trails, with stated limits on descent speed and jump height. Those limits stay in place whatever the travel figure is. 170 mm does not on its own make this an unrestricted downhill bike.
A 600 Wh battery that stays in the bike
The battery is a fixed, integrated Bosch PowerTube 600. Packaging 600 Wh into this carbon 177 chassis is the point of the TM if handling matters more to you than carrying extra watt-hours. The Bosch 4A charger charges the bike in place. That's easy when the socket is where you store the bike, and a genuine nuisance if you're used to unclipping a pack and taking it upstairs. On a very long assisted day, 600 Wh is the capacity you have.
Cube's published product weight for this build is 22.5 kg. Keep the load limits separate from that: 110 kg maximum rider weight, including worn equipment, and 135 kg maximum total system weight. Both apply, so a rider inside 110 kg can still push the whole bike, kit and load past the system limit.
What you get on the 2027 TM
Suspension on this build is RockShox. The fork is a Zeb Select+ Charger 3.2 RC2 Air with 170 mm of travel, and the shock is a Vivid Select with rebound adjustment and a two-position lever, so you've got a second shock setting when the trail changes between climbing and descending. Brakes are SRAM Maven Silver hydraulic discs with 200 mm rotors front and rear, a large rotor at each wheel for an assisted bike on steep trail. Gears are mechanical SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission, 1×12, with a single-click shifter, a 10-52T cassette and an ACID MTB Hybrid Pro 36T crank.
A 2026 TM is the previous specification. That bike came with a Fox 38 Float Performance fork and a Float X2 Performance shock, and its original specification described an ACID carbon crank. Cube's current public name is AMS Hybrid 177 C:62 TM 600X. ONE77 in an older title and 177 in current naming can describe the same family, so the suspension and the crank are what separate the years. Fox kit and the earlier crank description are the 2026 TM. RockShox and the ACID MTB Hybrid Pro crank are the 2027 TM. The AT and Super TM sit above this TM as separate builds in Cube's UK catalogue, with equipment of their own.
On a 2026 bike that falls within Cube's crank-arm recall, riding waits until an authorised dealer has checked it and completed the required remedy. That applies to affected 2026 examples, and it is separate from the ACID MTB Hybrid Pro crank listed on the 2027 build. Cube says delivered components may change because of supply-chain issues.
S, M, L or XL
There are four sizes, S through XL, with published geometry and no accessible model-specific rider-height or inseam bands. Use reach, stack and the saddle height you need, and leave an unverified height band out of the decision.
In Slack / Moderate order, the S reach is 427 / 425 mm and the XL reach is 507 / 505 mm. Head angle is 63.6° in Slack and 64.2° in Moderate on every size, set by the adjustable-angle headset. Chainstay length is 443 mm on all four. Size is the fit decision. The headset is how you angle the front end once that size is right.
The fitted dropper is a handlebar-operated CUBE post. Stroke is 150 mm on the S and 170 mm on M, L and XL, so the small frame gives you less post to drop when the trail points down. Maximum seatpost insertion rises with the size as well, which is what decides how low the saddle can sit in the frame. For repeat descents, those two measurements matter as much as the reach you started with.
Key Features & Benefits
- Argotal and Kryptotal tyres: A 2.4-inch Enduro SuperSoft front and Downhill Soft rear are fitted for technical trail use.
- Adjustable Slack or Moderate headset: Head angle moves between 63.6° and 64.2° on the same frame size.
