Bikesy's Verdict
The AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:62 Race suits riders who want a carbon trail bike and will still pedal. Own it for 140 mm of travel at each end, a 60 Nm Bosch Performance SX, a fixed 400 Wh battery and a claimed 19.8 kg, with tunable RockShox suspension, SRAM Eagle 90 gearing and Maven Base brakes. It fits technical and flowing trail and all-mountain riding when that lighter claimed build matters more to you than a larger stock battery. It is a poorer fit if you want a battery you can charge away from the bike, if 400 Wh will often be short without the optional 250 Wh PowerMore, or if you exceed the 110 kg rider limit with clothing and worn kit included. Size comes from published reach and stack, with no height or inseam bands supplied.
Pros
- C:62 carbon frame with 140 mm at each end for sporty trail and all-mountain riding
- Claimed 19.8 kg and a maximum 60 Nm Bosch SX keep the assistance package compact
- Super Deluxe Select+ adds rebound, compression and a two-position lever
- Slack and moderate headset settings are both published, so you can choose the front-end numbers
- Optional PowerMore 250 Wh can add capacity later for a longer ride
Cons
- The 400 Wh battery is fixed in the down tube, so you charge the bike in place; more capacity means buying the PowerMore
- Rider limit is 110 kg including clothing and worn equipment
- No published height or inseam bands, so S to XL is a reach, stack and dropper decision
The AMS Hybrid ONE44 C:62 Race is the assisted trail bike for someone who still wants to pedal. It is built for sporty trail and all-mountain riding: a C:62 carbon frame, 140 mm of travel at each end, a compact Bosch SX motor and a claimed weight of 19.8 kg. That weight is CUBE's figure for the build, and the product page does not tie it to one frame size.
The current UK model is a single build, the 2026 C:62 Race 400X, in S, M, L and XL. 400X is part of the official name and identifies the 400 Wh battery this bike carries. The official UK suggested retail price is £4,299. That is the list price, and the amount you pay can differ.
Assistance you plan around 400 Wh
The motor is a Bosch Performance SX, with a maximum of 60 Nm. Bosch System Control runs it, including a Mini Remote for the assistance modes. Energy comes from a Bosch CompactTube 400, 400 Wh, fixed inside the down tube, and the bike is supplied with a Bosch 2A charger. You charge it with the battery in the frame, in the place you keep the bike.
CUBE gives no model-specific distance for this bike. Plan from the 400 Wh, from how much assistance you use, and from how much of the climbing you pedal yourself. For a longer ride, the frame is ready for an optional Bosch PowerMore 250 Wh range extender. The extender is compatible, and it is not fitted, so it sits outside the bike's price and outside the stock 400 Wh.
The Race kit, and how to recognise it
This specification is built around suspension you can set up, plus the gears and brakes CUBE pairs with it. The fork is a RockShox Psylo Gold RC air unit with 140 mm of travel. The shock is a RockShox Super Deluxe Select+, controlling that 140 mm of rear travel, with rebound and compression adjustment and a two-position lever so you can move the shock between its two settings as the trail changes. Gearing is a mechanical SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission, 12-speed, with a 10-52T cassette, which gives a wide spread for steep trail climbs and for pedalling once the gradient eases. Brakes are SRAM Maven Base hydraulics, with 200 mm rotors at the front and 180 mm at the rear.
CUBE's line on replacements is clear. Keep the fork at 140 mm, match the original suspension dimensions, and keep those 200 mm and 180 mm rotors. A longer-travel fork invalidates the warranty.
The current Race is the SRAM bike: Eagle 90 shifting, Maven Base brakes, a Super Deluxe Select+ shock and a 60 Nm SX motor. The 2025 Race was the other build, with Shimano XT shifting, Deore brakes, a Deluxe Select+ shock and a 55 Nm SX motor. When a listing carries a 2026 or 2027 label, use those parts to tell the bikes apart, because the year on the label alone does not establish a newer official build. CUBE warns that supplied components can change, so go by the equipment on the individual bike.
A crank-arm check
This 2026-specified Race may need a crank remedy before it is ridden. Where the bike was sold before 8 May 2026 and fitted with the affected carbon crank arms, check the frame number using CUBE's recall tool and arrange the dealer replacement. Do not ride an affected bike before that check and remedy. The year shown on a listing does not settle it; the sale date and the crank arms do.
S, M, L, XL and two headset settings
CUBE publishes geometry for every size in a slack headset setting and a moderate one, and it does not publish rider-height or inseam bands. Size is a reach and stack decision. Slack sits at a 65.4° head angle, moderate at 66°, and reach, stack, effective top tube and wheelbase shift between them. The chainstay is 450 mm on every size, and every size uses 29-inch wheels.
The dropper stroke is part of that choice. S is fitted with 100 mm, M with 150 mm, and L and XL with 170 mm. That is how much post you can drop on a descent, so the shorter post on S is worth noticing before you settle on the small frame. The maximum rider weight is 110 kg, including clothing and worn equipment. The maximum system weight, rider and bike together, is 135 kg. If your riding kit puts you near 110 kg, that rider figure is what decides whether this bike is suitable.
With a size chosen from those figures, and the rider limit in mind, the riding this bike is built for comes into focus. Technical and flowing trails, 140 mm of carbon full suspension to keep the day moving, and a compact motor for the climbs you still want to pedal.
Key Features & Benefits
- Angle-adjustable headset: A slack 65.4° or moderate 66° head angle, with reach and stack published for both
- PowerMore 250 Wh ready: An optional extender for longer rides; it is not fitted and is not in the bike price
- Dropper stroke by size: 100 mm on S, 150 mm on M and 170 mm on L and XL, so the post scales with the frame
