Bikesy's Verdict

For paved commuting, errands and moderate recreational riding, the Editor Hybrid Pro 360 FE is worth owning if you like the simple version of an e-bike. Bosch Hub Line assistance, maximum 45 Nm, and a removable 360 Wh battery do the helping, and a Gates singlespeed belt leaves you with one ratio. Classic and lower-access Trapeze frames share that kit, plus the carrier, lights and mudguards, at a £1,899 suggested retail price, so you choose on access and size. It suits you when that ready-to-ride city setup is the point. The recommendation changes if you need a spread of gears, or if your riding leaves the paved surfaces this rigid fork is classified for. An SX mid-drive, a 400 Wh battery and 11-speed gears belong to the earlier 400X FE.

Pros

  • Removable 360 Wh battery and a supplied Bosch 2A charger for indoor charging
  • Carrier, lights, mudguards, kickstand, bell and pedals fitted from the start
  • Bosch Hub Line assistance to a maximum of 45 Nm, with a clean Gates singlespeed belt
  • Classic and Trapeze share the running kit and a £1,899 suggested retail price
  • Shimano hydraulic discs with 180 mm rotors at both ends

Cons

  • One fixed gear ratio, so every part of the ride uses the same belt sprocket
  • Rigid fork and a paved-surface classification, leaving rough tracks outside its intended use
  • 100 kg maximum rider weight includes worn clothing and equipment, with no quoted luggage or combined-system limit

If your miles are paved commuting, errands and moderate recreational riding, the current Cube Editor Hybrid Pro is an appealing match. In Pro 360 FE form it is the fully equipped, singlespeed-belt Editor Hybrid with Bosch hub assistance, offered as a Classic or a lower-access Trapeze, and it makes most sense when you want straightforward everyday transport.

What you get for everyday trips

The FE package earns its place because the daily kit is already fitted. Both frames come with an ACID Carrier SIC 2.1 RAIL, a PRO-E 80 X-Connect front light, a rear light mounted on the mudguard, ACID 50 BB-Mount mudguards, an FM Pure kickstand, a bell and pedals. On the way to work the lights and mudguards are already doing a job, and the carrier gives a bag or a shop a place to sit. You can use the bike for those trips without first buying the everyday kit.

Charging is set up around a battery you can take indoors. The Bosch PowerTube 360 comes out of the aluminium Superlite frame, and a Bosch 2A charger is included. If the bike lives in a hallway, a shed or a flat with no handy plug, you lift the battery out and charge it where there is a socket.

Hub assistance and a single belt ratio

Assistance comes from a Bosch Drive Unit Hub Line in the rear wheel, with a maximum of 45 Nm, run from a Bosch LED Controller. The battery is that removable PowerTube, a 360 Wh pack. On the paved trips this bike is classified for, you pedal and the hub adds its help from the wheel. It is a straightforward system for a regular route.

The drivetrain is a singlespeed Gates belt, with a Gates S050 ST 55T crankset and a Gates Sidetrack 22T rear sprocket. One ratio means fewer gear-changing tasks, which suits a familiar ride where you just want to set off. The other side is worth weighing before you buy. Assistance is capped at that 45 Nm maximum, and the ratio stays fixed, so a route that needs a spread of gears is asking for a different transmission.

Classic or Trapeze

Both frames share the motor, the belt, the brakes and the daily-use kit, and both have a £1,899 suggested retail price. The choice is how you get on, and which sizes are published. The Classic is the conventional frame, in 50, 54, 58 and 62 cm, with a claimed weight of 19.2 kg. The Trapeze is the lower-access frame, in 50, 54 and 58 cm, with a claimed weight of 19.1 kg. Those are manufacturer claims with no stated size basis, so treat them as a guide to the published bike and choose on access and fit.

Go for the Trapeze if a lower frame makes the bike easier to live with every day. The 62 cm size is published only on the Classic. A shared size name still needs its own row in the geometry table. Clearance is given as protrusion height - 80mm, and that label has not been presented as ordinary standover. On the published measure the Trapeze sits distinctly lower than the Classic at every shared size, while reach, stack and wheelbase match. The size name is the start. The geometry row is the comparison.

Paved riding, brakes and rider weight

Cube classifies the Pro 360 FE for paved surfaces, and the fork matches that classification: a rigid CUBE Editor HPA aluminium fork. Tyres are Continental Contact Urban in 50-622, on ACID EX25 rims, and both frames use Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic discs with 180 mm rotors front and rear. This is a city bike for roads and other paved riding, with a simple front end. Rough-track riding sits outside that classification.

Read the weight limit as a rider limit. Cube states a maximum of 100 kg, including clothing and equipment worn on the body. It covers the person on the bike, and Cube gives that figure as a rider limit rather than a luggage allowance or a combined-system capacity for you plus a loaded carrier. If you are close to 100 kg in what you wear, or the rack will see a heavy shop most days, keep those as separate questions.

When a listing shows an SX motor or gears

The current UK model is the Pro 360 FE: hub motor, 360 Wh battery, singlespeed belt, and the fitted everyday equipment that FE denotes. An offer with a Bosch SX motor and gears is the earlier 400X generation, and it is a different bike. The 2026 Pro 400X FE pairs a Bosch Performance SX mid-drive with a 400 Wh battery and Shimano Cues 11-speed gears, at an earlier suggested retail price of £2,499. An earlier 2026 non-FE Pro 400X is separate again, and the FE equipment package stays with the FE bikes. Pro, on its own, leaves the motor, battery and transmission unidentified.

The £1,899 suggested retail price on both current frames, and that earlier £2,499, are list figures. A live offer can sit either side of either of them.

A used 2025 Pro 400X needs its own caution. Both listed 2025 Pro 400X configurations fall within Cube's crank-bolt recall. Continued use depends on the required dealer inspection, or on Cube's specified inspection marking already being in place.

On the Pro 360 FE itself, ownership is straightforward. You can leave it ready by the door: battery charged indoors, lights and mudguards already fitted, and a single belt ratio for the next paved run into town.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Bosch 2A charger supplied: The included charger is what you use when you take the battery indoors.
