Bikesy's Verdict
The Yeti LTe C2 is a properly focused long-travel e-MTB, not a carbon bike wearing a big battery for show. It suits experienced riders who want Bosch-assisted technical climbing, calm high-speed handling and a suspension platform with the control to keep going when the trail gets rough. The removable 800Wh battery, Sixfinity chassis and UK Factory Fox suspension are the reasons to choose it.
Its long geometry, 23.5kg claimed weight and maintenance needs mean it will not suit riders after a light, playful local-loop machine. Nor is it a components-per-pound bargain. But for the rider who values grip, descending composure and repeatable big days over showroom bragging rights, the LTe C2 can be a deeply satisfying bike to own.
Pros
- Fox Factory suspension on the UK C2 Factory build
- Sixfinity rear suspension brings traction and braking composure
- Removable 800Wh Bosch battery suits long, repeated laps
- Full-29in stability with a geometry-correct mixed-wheel option
- Rebuildable mechanical Eagle 90 drivetrain with a wireless upgrade route
Cons
- Long geometry is less nimble in slow, tight corners
- The 23.5kg claimed weight makes lifting and transport a proper consideration
- Sixfinity links and full-power components need diligent wet-weather maintenance
The Yeti LTe C2 is the UK Factory-equipped way into a seriously fast, full-power enduro e-MTB platform. It is aimed at confident intermediate and expert riders who want to claw up steep, technical climbs, then carry real speed through rough descents and come back for another lap. This is not a light, easy-going bike for mellow spins. The original UK RRP for the LTe C2 Factory was £9,499.
What the current UK C2 Factory brings
The current UK model sits on the first-generation Bosch and Sixfinity LTe platform introduced for the 2026 retail season. It moves on from the Shimano-powered 160E approach with a Bosch Performance Line CX motor, removable 800Wh battery and a longer, stability-led chassis. The C2 is a component build within that platform, not a separate frame generation.
For the UK, the LTe C2 Factory combines a Fox 38 Factory GRIP X2 fork with a Fox Float X2 Factory shock, 170mm front travel and 160mm at the rear. Mechanical SRAM Eagle 90 Transmission, DT Swiss H1900 wheels, SRAM Maven Bronze four-piston brakes and a wireless Reverb AXS dropper complete the package. It is a purposeful specification. The Factory name matters because international C2 offers may use Fox Performance suspension instead.
Speed, grip and a long view ahead
The LTe is at its best when the trail points up sharply or drops away in a hurry. Its 64.0° head angle, 78.0° effective seat angle and long wheelbases create a centred position that should help you stay composed when the ground gets fast and choppy. The trade-off is plain: slow, tight turns ask more of you than they would on a shorter, more playful bike.
Sixfinity is Yeti's six-bar rear-suspension design, with 25%, 30% and 35% progression settings for tailoring the end of the travel. It is intended to separate pedalling, braking and suspension behaviour, helping the rear wheel keep hold on awkward climbs while remaining controlled when the brakes are working hard. There is useful adjustment here. Start with a clear baseline rather than changing several settings at once.
Full 29in wheels are fitted as standard, but a dedicated chip supports a 27.5in rear wheel while preserving the intended geometry. That gives you a supported route to a more agile rear end, although it needs a compatible 27.5in Boost rear wheel and tyre. The stock full-29in format is the better match for the bike's calm, high-speed character.
Bosch power for repeated big laps
The Performance Line CX smart system and removable PowerTube 800Wh battery make sense for long days and repeated uplift-free runs. Being able to remove the battery is handy for indoor charging and storage. The motor assistance ends at 25km/h, so the LTe's stable geometry and fast-riding focus still matter once you are carrying speed beyond the assistance limit.
Eligible systems can provide up to 120Nm and 750W after the applicable Bosch software update and manufacturer approval, but that setting should not be assumed on every bike. Higher-output settings can also increase battery and drivetrain consumption. When updating the Bosch system, keep every connected component attached so the system can update consistently.
Size, range and practical ownership
The LTe has a notably long fit, with overlapping size recommendations intended to let riders choose between easier direction changes and more high-speed room. The Medium, Large and X-Large can take an optional Bosch PowerMore 250 range extender with the applicable 200mm cable and mounting hardware. Small cannot. Riders on the Small frame who need exceptionally long assisted days should plan around the fitted 800Wh battery and charging opportunities instead.
At a claimed 23.5kg, with no frame size stated for that claim, this is a bike to plan around rather than casually sling about. A suitably rated e-bike rack and a realistic storage setup matter, especially if stairs are involved. The removable battery can make handling a little easier. Yeti does not publish a system-weight limit for this exact model.
Wet British riding rewards regular attention here. Wash grit from around the Sixfinity links, keep an eye on brake pads, chain wear and spokes, and include pivot checks in your routine. Eagle 90 is a rebuildable mechanical derailleur, which suits riders who prefer cable-operated shifting and do not want another derailleur battery to charge. Wireless shifting is still an option later through SRAM's GX Eagle AXS Transmission upgrade kit, using an AXS derailleur body, battery and Pod controller.
Key Features & Benefits
- Sixfinity with three progression settings: The 25%, 30% and 35% settings let you tune the rear suspension towards a consistent race feel, a balanced setup or stronger end-stroke support.
- Bosch smart system and Kiox 400C display: The fitted Performance Line CX system, Kiox 400C display and wireless Mini Remote give the bike a well-integrated control setup for full-power riding.
- C/Series carbon chassis protection: Vectran reinforcement, extensive impact protection and internal cable-routing tubes suit a bike intended for hard use in filthy UK conditions.
- Mechanical Eagle 90 Transmission: Cable-operated shifting avoids a derailleur battery, while the Full-Mount derailleur is rebuildable and can be converted to GX Eagle AXS Transmission later.
- Supported mixed-wheel conversion: A compatible 27.5in Boost rear wheel and the dedicated chip position provide a more agile setup without the usual geometry penalty.

Alternatives to Consider
The Specialized Turbo Levo 4 Comp is a more all-round proposition for riders who want more battery capacity but less travel. Its 840Wh battery is larger than the Yeti's 800Wh unit, while its 160mm front and 150mm rear travel are shorter than the LTe's 170mm and 160mm setup. The Levo's claimed 24.41kg weight is also higher than the Yeti's 23.5kg claim. Choose the Yeti when descending focus and suspension depth take priority.
The Santa Cruz Vala 90 shares Bosch power and mechanical SRAM 90 Transmission, but takes a different route. It has 150mm rear travel and a 600Wh battery, where the Yeti provides 160mm and 800Wh. The Vala begins with a more agile mixed-wheel format, while the LTe starts as a full-29in bike and offers a supported mixed-wheel conversion for owners who want it.
What independent reviewers found
Pinkbike's Dario DiGiulio tested a higher-end LTe field-test build from the same Bosch and Sixfinity generation. He singled out the Sixfinity rear suspension for its composure and its ability to remain controlled on demanding ground. That observation speaks directly to the C2's shared frame and suspension layout, rather than its individual component selection.
On a size Large LTe T3 X0 Transmission, Blister reviewer Simon Stewart found the platform strongly traction-led on technical climbs and exceptionally capable when descending fast. He also stressed its race-focused intent. That matches the LTe C2's long geometry and full-power, long-travel brief: it is happiest when the riding has genuine speed and consequence.
BikeRadar's Alex Evans reviewed the flagship LTe T4 and noted that the less expensive C2 could be a particularly compelling way into the same core platform. The UK C2 Factory supports that reading with Fox Factory suspension, while retaining mechanical rather than electronic shifting.
