About The Trek Marlin Range of Mountain Bikes

The Marlin's geometry is specifically designed to give mountain bike riders of all abilities confidence and control out on the trail.

Its head tube angle is slacker, which moves the front wheel further in front of you and provides stability and control on steep and rowdy descents. To balance this, the seat tube angle is steeper, allowing for more efficient pedalling on the climbs, both punchy or long, up to the summit.

In addition to its well thought out geometry, the Marlin is also fitted with a short stem and wider handlebar for more direct control and responsiveness, as well as a longer top tube reach for extra stability. It also features a Trek's new Thru-Skew axle for better rear wheel security, full-length, full-coverage guards on the chainstay to protect the frame and keep it quiet, and big 2.4-inch tires for added grip in the mud as well as a smoother ride.

One of the great things we love about the Marlin is its upgrade-ready design. This hardtail frame is built to last and grow with you as your skills improve with internal cable routing to allow for easy installation of a dropper post when you feel your riding style requires it.

With its intelligent approach to sizing, different wheel and fork sizes are specced with different-sized frames, with size XS and up can be upgraded to a bigger 120 mm fork for tackling bigger trails. And, with sizes available from XXS to XXL, as well as an 'extra-medium' size for those in between, every rider can find a well-fitted Marlin.
